Today I’m going to show you how to use Owner Outreach. Owner Outreach is a new and smarter way to find owners who are ready to transact.
With over 1 million owners, deciding who to reach out to can be daunting. Rather than casting a wide net— which can be costly when doing mailings—Marketproof helps you focus on owners who are more likely to transact, increasing your conversion rates. Our owner data is updated hourly, ensuring you connect with the right person. If a property is not owner-occupied, Marketproof also provides the owner’s mailing address.
Right from the start, we provide shortcuts to help you identify potential sellers and buyers. For example, you can target owners who have held a unit for 10+ years and may be ready for a change. You can also target investors with multiple properties or corporate owners who may be looking to expand their portfolio. You can find owners with an expiring tax abatement, where rising costs might prompt a sale or a move. You can identify owners whose properties were recently listed but didn’t sell, meaning they may still be in the market. With many filtering options available, Marketproof makes your research faster and more precise.
You can narrow your search by geography such as neighborhood, borough, or building name. The interactive map allows you to highlight an area or draw a custom area using the polygon tool.
Beyond the location, you can refine your search using various filters based on the type of property, the date that it was sold, the number of bedrooms, and many more.
As an example, I set a combination of long-time owners with expiring tax abatements on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a situation where some owners may be thinking about selling due to the impending increase in carrying cost. With that in mind, we narrowed down our search to 191 owners.
Owner lists are exportable in popular formats for easy distribution. For this example, I will choose Xpressdocs. I will also give this export a name and hit export. Marketproof Pro will begin exporting the list. Depending on the size of your list, it can take a few minutes. You’ll get an email when it’s all ready. Head to the Downloads section to get your Owner List.
Once downloaded, it can be opened easily in applications such as Excel or Sheets.
In Marketproof’s Marketing Center, you can quickly create a targeted, branded postcard with your contact information, delivering valuable insights to the selected owners.
For printing and mailing, I’ll use Xpressdocs to upload the postcard and Owner List. Since we selected the Xpressdocs format, the list will import seamlessly, making it easy to print and send your postcard to the targeted owners. You can add the list to an existing list. And If you have a template in Xpressdocs, you can use that one as well.
